But still, limitations on any sort of scholarship program represents a fundamental shortcoming in the educational system: there just isn't enough money there to sustain the needs of the students. When will colleges start dipping into their massive endowments to help offset the cost? In a way, I suppose this is good news for those who are disillusioned by the belief that athletes receive preferential treatment over academically minded students.
