Every family that we work with has unique needs for services. We offer a free 1/2 hour consultation to determine which services are best for your family. There are several starter packages that can accommodate the needs of many families in their search for the best college for their student. Early Exploration Package

This package is for families with students younger than their junior year in high school. This package includes consultations with the students and their families on high school course selection, extracurricular involvement, and early planning for finding the best college choice for that student. We also do an early evaluation of the student’s strengths, identify areas that need to be strengthened and propose solutions to improve those areas.

The cost for this package is $500. If a student chooses to continue with the Junior Year Package, the cost of the Early Exploration Package will be credited to the cost of the Junior Year Package.

Junior Year Package

A comprehensive plan of college admissions counseling designed to begin working with the student in the junior year of high school and continuing on through the final college choice in their senior year. This package includes the following services:

  • Evaluation of the student’s academic, personal and extracurricular background.
  • Identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses and provides suggestions to enhance the strengths and address the weaknesses. This would include suggestions for coursework to be taken as well as suggestions for development of the student’s resume.
  • Provide student and their family with a 2 year strategic calendar of important dates.
  • Discuss with the student and their family financial aid issues that may be important in finding the best college fit.
  • Review with the student the criteria for choosing the best college fit.
  • Help identify appropriate colleges for the student to evaluate.
  • Provide suggestions for visiting colleges and the evaluation of each college visited.
  • Work with the student to determine a standardized testing schedule including determining which standardized tests to take and help with necessary preparation for taking the tests.
  • Help student identify appropriate final list of colleges based on all information available.
  • Assist student in all aspects of the application process including discussion of whether early application is appropriate, completion of the application, brainstorming essay ideas and assistance with getting the best recommendations.
  • Prepare student for interviews and help with mock interviews.
  • Help student and their family evaluate college choices after admission decisions are made.
  • Unlimited contact by phone and email for the student and their parents.

The cost for the Junior Year Package is $3,500.

Senior Year Package

Beginning in the student’s senior year we help with finalizing college choices as well as assistance with all aspects of the application process. This includes the following services:

  • Help student identify appropriate final list of colleges based on all information available.
  • Assist student in all aspects of the application process including discussion of whether early application is appropriate, completion of the application, brainstorming essay ideas and assistance with getting the best recommendations.
  • Prepare student for interviews and help with mock interviews.
  • Help student and their family evaluate college choices after admission decisions are made.
  • Unlimited contact by phone and email for the student and their parents.

The cost for the Senior Year Package is $3,000.

Finally, we offer the option of an hourly consultation to address particular questions that a student or family might have regarding the search for the best college. The hourly rate for this help is $125/hour.
