The website for The Today Show has a new article entitled “Inside the College Admissions Process“. This article discusses admissions at Grinnell College with its director of admissions, Seth Allen. There is also an accompanying video.
For families new to the college admissions process the interview and video should help explain some of the issues that admissions offices consider when deciding who to admit. For those of you who have been following this blog for some time, you will find confirmation of many of the things I have talked about in the past.
I applaud Grinnell for helping provide some transparency to the admissions process. In a process that tends to be anything but transparent, behind the scenes articles like this are a refreshing change.
